BANDO PER AUDIZIONI DI SELEZIONE DEI PARTECIPANTI ALL'ATTIVITA' 2005:

Il laboratorio permanente di formazione, specializzazione e perfezionamento per le professioni del Teatro musicale denominato CittàLirica OperaStudio e costituito nell' ambito delle attività del CEL Teatro di Livorno, dell'Azienda Teatro del Giglio di Lucca e della Fondazione Teatro di Pisa, programma per l'anno 2005 l'opera I quattro rusteghi di Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari.
1 Il progetto è finalizzato alla rappresentazione dell'opera suddetta, secondo le modalità descritte nel successivo art.9.
2 Il laboratorio è riservato a giovani cantanti e maestri collaboratori, prioritariamente cittadini dell'Unione Europea nei loro primi cinque anni di attività professionale.
3 Il laboratorio si articolerà in due fasi:
4 I periodi di studio saranno svolti alternativamente nei Teatri compartecipi del progetto o in altre sedi idonee da essi individuate. Il corso avrà luogo dal lunedì al sabato e prevederà 8 ore giornaliere di lezione (4 ore il sabato). La frequenza alle lezioni è obbligatoria in ogni fase del laboratorio in base al calendario stabilito per l'attività didattica.
5 Il laboratorio per cantanti sarà basato sullo studio e la pratica dei seguenti insegnamenti:
Ciascuno di questi insegnamenti potrà essere articolato in seminari, lezioni, masterclass etc.
Il laboratorio per maestri collaboratori sarà basato sullo studio dei seguenti insegnamenti:
e sull'attività pratica (stage) svolta durante le lezioni dei cantanti con la supervisione di un docente tutor.
6 Principali responsabili didattico-artistici del laboratorio saranno per la parte musicale il Direttore d'Orchestra Aldo Sisillo e per la parte scenica il regista Italo Nunziata Tutti i docenti del laboratorio saranno specialisti di chiara fama.
7 A tutti gli allievi ammessi a frequentare la Fase Due del laboratorio, verrà assegnata una borsa di studio proporzionale alle loro effettive giornate di presenza.
8 Al termine del laboratorio il Coordinatore del Progetto CittàLirica Opera Studio, in accordo con docenti e con i direttori artistici dei teatri compartecipi del progetto, provve-derà all'assegnazione dei ruoli e alla definizione dei cast previsti per le singole recite. In base agli esiti didattici del corso sarà anche valutata l'opportunità di impiegare nella produzione gli allievi maestri collaboratori.
9 L'opera verrà allestita presso il Teatro del Giglio di Lucca dove debutterà nel mese di gennaio 2006 e successivamente sarà rappresentata nei teatri di Livorno e Pisa e presso altri organismi che possano aderire al progetto. L'opera sarà rappresentata in dialetto veneziano.
10 I cantanti e i maestri collaboratori impegnati nelle recite de I quattro rusteghi di Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari riceveranno compensi stabiliti in base a specifici contratti professionali.
11 I rapporti di CittàLirica OperaStudio e dei teatri eventuali sedi delle rappresentazioni con i cantanti allievi del corso, saranno diretti e personali in ogni fase dell'attività con l'esclusione di qualsiasi intermediazione.
12 La selezione dei partecipanti al laboratorio per cantanti sarà realizzata in due distinti momenti:
1) audizione pubblica che si terrà nei giorni 26,27,28 settembre 2005 presso il Teatro del Giglio di Lucca alla presenza del coordinatore del progetto e dei direttori artistici dei teatri e che sarà così articolata:
per i cantanti
- esecuzione di due arie d'opera a scelta del candidato di cui una tratta dal repertorio del Settecento e l'altra da quello del Novecento;
- test di movimento scenico;
- colloquio
per i maestri collaboratori
- esecuzione di due scene tratte da due opere di epoca e stili diversi. Entrambe le scene devono coinvolgere almeno due personaggi. I candidati dovranno cantare le linee vocali e suonare la parte pianistica.
- lettura a prima vista
- colloquio
Date le caratteristiche del titolo in programma l'audizione sarà riservata ai seguenti tipi di vocalità:
Al termine dell'audizione saranno compilate graduatorie diverse per i cantanti (una per ciascun registro vocale) e i maestri collaboratori, in base alle quali saranno individuati gli allievi ammessi alla Fase Uno secondo i criteri indicati nell'art.3.
2) partecipazione alla Fase Uno del Laboratorio come indicato nell'art.3 del presente bando
13 Per segnalare la propria disponibilità a sostenere l'audizione per far parte di CittàLirica OperaStudio i candidati dovranno inviare, entro il 20 settembre 2005, una richiesta via fax o per e mail ai seguenti recapiti:
La richiesta dovrà specificare con chiarezza il riferimento a CittàLirica Opera Studio e dovrà contenere:
- dati anagrafici (nome, età, indirizzo)
- recapiti (telefoni, fax, e-mail)
- registro vocale
- programma proposto per l'audizione
- curriculum
- foto (solo per i cantanti).
Alla scadenza del termine per la presentazione delle domande, gli uffici dei teatri provvederanno tempestivamente a comunicare la data e la sede delle audizioni.

AUDITIONS FOR SELECTION OF CANDIDATES FOR 2005 PRODUCTIONS:

The permanent training and specialisation workshop for operatic professions, CittàLirica OperaStudio, established under the auspices of the CEL Teatro di Livorno, Azienda Teatro del Giglio di Lucca and Fondazione Teatro di Pisa, is planning to stage the opera I quattro rusteghi by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari in 2005.
1 The project intends to stage this opera, as described in point 9 below.
2 The workshop is reserved to young lyrical singers and répétiteurs in their first five years of professional activity. Priority will be given to EU citizens.
3 The workshop will be organized in 2 phases:
• the second (Fase Due) will take place later, organized in period of one or two working weeks, with active 22 singer and 4 répétiteur participants. They will be selected from those in Fase Uno. For singers the selection will make sure to cover all the roles contemplated in the opera in question.
4 The workshop will be held in the theatres of Livorno, Lucca and Pisa alternatively or in other suitable premises. Lessons will be run from Monday to Saturday with 8 hours daily (4 hours on Saturday). Attendance is compulsory at all stages of the workshop according to the timetable provided.
5 The singers' workshop will be based on the study and practice of the following disciplines:
Each of these disciplines may be organized in seminars, lessons, masterclasses, etc.
The répétiteurs' workshop will be based on the study and practice of the following disciplines:
The workshop will be based on the experience of working with the singers under the supervision of a tutor too.
6 Didactic artistic principals of the workshop will be the conductor Aldo Sisillo for the musical field and the director Italo Nunziata for the stage field. All workshop teachers will be highly qualified.
7 A grant will be given to all participants of Fase Due, in proportion to actual days of presence at the workshop.
8 At the end of the workshop the course director, in accordance with the evaluations of the teachers and artistic directors of the promoting theatres, will assign definitively opera roles and will decide on casts for each performance. According to the didactic results, the répétiteurs students would be engaged for the production.
9 The opera will be staged at the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, where it will have its première in January 2005 and it will then be represented at the theatres of Livorno and Pisa and at other theatres which may be interested in the project. Opera will be performed in Venetian dialect.
10 Singers and répétiteurs engaged in performances of I quattro rusteghi by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrrari will receive fees as stipulated in their contracts.
11 Relations between singers admitted to the workshop and CittàLirica OperaStudio as well as all theatres which may be involved in the project shall be direct at all times and strictly without the intervention of third parties.
12 The selection of candidates for singers' workshop will be held in two different phases:
1) a public audition on 26, 27 and 28 September 2005 at the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca in the presence of course manager and artistic directors from each theatre. The above audition will be articulated as follows:
singers
- performance of two arias (including one from the eighteenth century repertory and the other from the twentieth century repertory) at the candidate's choice;
- stage movement test;
- interview
répétiteurs
- performance of two scenes from each of two operas different for age and style. Both scenes are to involve at least two characters. The candidates will be expected to sing the vocal lines as they are playing.
- a sight reading
- interview
In view of the opera characteristics, admission will be restricted to the following vocal styles:
At the end of the audition, different shortlists will be drawn up for singers (divided by vocal registers) and répétiteurs. They will be used to form the group of participants in Fase Uno according to the point 3.

- musical program for audition
- curriculum vitae
- a photo (only for singers).
Applicants will promptly receive information regarding audition dates and venues.
